Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was assaulted and left with head injuries in Dartford.

Kent Police officers were called to the High Street at around 7.30pm on Sunday 17 May 2026. Upon arrival, they located a man who was already receiving treatment from paramedics for a head injury.

Initial enquiries at the scene established that the victim had been punched by an unknown person, causing him to fall to the floor. He was subsequently transported to a London hospital, where he currently remains in a stable condition. Investigating officers are now searching for a suspect described as a white boy, aged between 13 and 16 years old. He is said to be clean-shaven and was wearing blue ripped jeans, black trainers, a black baseball cap featuring a white logo, and a black hooded top.

Officers are actively carrying out enquiries in the local area, which includes reviewing CCTV footage. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have relevant information is urged to contact Kent Police on 01474 366149, quoting reference 46/78424/26.
