Officers investigating a tragic, fatal collision near Pembury are making a renewed appeal for witnesses, CCTV, and dashcam footage to help with their enquiries.
Kent Police attended the scene on the A228 Pembury Northern Bypass at 11.43am on Monday 18 May 2026, following reports of a single-vehicle collision. A silver Renault Megane was travelling from Pembury towards Whetsted when it left the nearside carriageway and entered woodland, colliding with trees between Tonbridge Road and Old Church Road.
The driver, 64-year-old Craig Pangrazi-Simpson, sustained fatal injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by attending paramedics. The passenger, 60-year-old Elizabeth Pangrazi-Simpson, was airlifted to a London hospital but later passed away from her injuries. Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw the vehicle beforehand, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to contact Kent Police.
