Police are appealing for information after three men were assaulted during a visit to Lydd. The incident occurred near Cannon Street and Coronation Square between 7pm and 7.30pm on Saturday 13 June 2026.
The victims, who are in their 30s, had asked a group of local people for directions before being allegedly attacked by a group of unknown men. One of the victims sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics for medical attention.
A senior investigating officer stated that the three targeted men were briefly visiting the UK to participate in an international sports competition. The officer urged anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information regarding the identities of those involved, to contact the appeal line.
