Multiple suspects have been charged in relation to a serious assault in Hythe.
Kent Police were called at 10pm on Saturday 28 June 2026 following the incident in Red Lion Square. Patrols attended the scene and a man in his 40s later attended a local hospital with serious injuries. He has since been discharged. Meanwhile two men and a boy were later arrested in connection with the incident.
A 36-year-old man from Hythe, a 34-year-old man from Folkestone, and a 16-year-old boy were subsequently charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
They appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 1 July, where the two men were remanded in custody and the 16-year-old boy was released on conditional bail. All three are scheduled to appear next before Canterbury Crown Court on 3 August.
