Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal single-vehicle collision in Sellindge.
Emergency services were called to Barrow Hill on the A20 at around 8.40pm on Sunday, 5 July, after a yellow Mini Cooper collided with a tree near the junction with Meadow Grove.
A 46-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed. The driver, a 44-year-old woman, was airlifted to a London hospital where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating the incident. They are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, or who saw the vehicle in the moments leading up to it, to come forward.
