A man from Dartford has appeared in court following a report of inappropriate behaviour towards a woman at a local bar.
Kent Police received a report that a man had made a woman feel uncomfortable while in a licensed premises in Spital Street on Saturday 27 June 2026. She reported that the man continuously touched her arm and attempted to engage in conversation despite being repeatedly declined. He also took a photograph of her and a friend.
Following enquiries, which included reviewing CCTV footage, officers made an arrest on 4 July 2026. A 44-year-old man from Dartford was subsequently charged with sex-based harassment.
The accused appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 July where he was released on conditional bail. He is scheduled to make his next court appearance at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 July 2026.
