A suspected chop shop has been raided near Gravesend, uncovering suspected stolen vehicle parts. Kent Police had been made aware that parts of a stolen car had allegedly been discovered in an industrial unit.

Acting on this report, officers executed a search warrant of the location on the morning of Friday 3 July 2026. Cars and vehicle parts that were believed to have been stolen were recovered during the operation.
Two men from Northfleet, aged 27 and 47, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of vehicle theft and handling stolen goods. They have been released on conditional bail while an investigation continues.
