Beat officers have spent time meeting with residents during an organised event on Saturday 11 July 2026 when officers from Medway’s Community Safety Unit (CSU) took part in the annual ‘Medway Peace Walk’.
The event was organised by the Medway Inter Faith Association and was also attended by local councillors, faith leaders, community representatives and the Deputy Mayor of Medway.
During the day Medway CSU’s Inspector Allen Searle addressed attendees where he spoke about the importance of building strong relationships with communities.
Inspector Searle said:
‘Events like the Peace Walk show what can be achieved when people of different backgrounds, faiths and cultures stand side by side with a shared commitment to peace, compassion and community cohesion.
‘This was a great event and gave everyone a chance to celebrate the diversity which makes Medway such a vibrant place to live and work.’
