Police have launched an investigation following a serious assault at a property in Medway which left a 40-year-old man in hospital with stab wounds.
Emergency services, including Kent Police patrols and South East Coast Ambulance Service crews, were called to a residential address in Gillingham Road, Gillingham, at 6.08pm on Friday 31 August. The victim was treated at the scene for injuries consistent with stab wounds before being transported to a local hospital for further medical attention. He has since been discharged.
Detectives understand that the victim knew his assailant, and an investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the attack remains underway.
A 33-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has subsequently been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
