A suspect has appeared before magistrates after police officers uncovered over £8,000 worth of class A drugs during a targeted operation in Thanet.
The arrest followed an investigation by Kent Police into a suspected drug supply line operating across the east Kent area. On the afternoon of Monday 3 August 2026, officers carried out searches of a car and a property in Margate, leading to the discovery and seizure of a quantity of cannabis alongside a block of cocaine with an estimated street value exceeding £8,000. Cash and mobile phones were also confiscated at the scene.
A man was arrested and subsequently charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, as well as possession of cannabis with intent to supply. He was remanded in custody following an initial appearance at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 4 August, and the case has been sent to Canterbury Crown Court for a future hearing.
