A major police operation in East Kent has led to the seizure of more than three kilograms of suspected class A drugs and thousands of pounds in cash, alongside the charging of two suspects.
A search of the address uncovered approximately one kilogram of suspected heroin, two kilograms of suspected cocaine, and an amount of cash exceeding £5,000. All items were promptly confiscated, and three men present at the location were taken into custody.
Officers visited a residential property in Stockdale Gardens, Deal, on Friday 14 August with the intention of detaining a individual wanted in connection with an unrelated matter. Upon entering the premises, officers discovered two other individuals inside.
Following the raid, two men, both of no fixed address, were charged within twenty-four hours with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property.
The pair were remanded in custody and subsequently appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court. They remain remanded in custody pending a scheduled appearance at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 14 September. The third individual detained at the scene, aged 46, has been released on bail while police enquiries remain ongoing.
