A suspect has been charged after car wheels were stolen from a rural property in East Brabourne.

Kent Police were alerted on the afternoon of Friday 14 August 2026, following the morning theft of tyres and alloy rims from an address in the Ashford village.

Neighbourhood officers reviewed CCTV footage and spoke with witnesses, leading to an arrest in the Faversham area the following day.

Subsequent searches led to the discovery of suspected cocaine, while the stolen alloy wheels were recovered nearby and returned to the victim. A 33-year-old resident from Faversham, was charged on Saturday 15 August with the theft of the wheels, possession of cocaine, and driving offences.

The defendant was further charged in connection with the theft of chocolate and alcohol from a Faversham Co-op on 17 June and has been bailed to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
