A serial shoplifter who stole hundreds of pounds’ worth of food and alcohol across Kent has been barred from entering numerous retail stores for three years. Rosie Ripley was issued a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) after facing five counts of theft carried out between April and May 2026.
The 36-year-old repeatedly entered local businesses, filled baskets with targeted goods, and made off without making any attempt to pay.
On the morning of 4 May 2026, Ripley targeted the B&M store in Chatham three separate times, making off with stolen items during each visit. She subsequently turned her attention to Springfield Supermarket in Maidstone the following day, taking three bottles of wine before fleeing. Over a two-day period, she visited the same Maidstone premises on three separate occasions, stealing bottles of wine each time.
Ripley appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 12 August 2026, where the magistrate imposed the three-year CBO. Under the strict terms of the order, which runs until August 2029, she is legally prohibited from entering any retail premises within Medway. Furthermore, the ban extends across Kent, forbidding her from stepping inside any shop owned, operated, or managed by Morrisons, Poundland, B&M Retail, Co-op, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Iceland, or Budgens.
