Ongoing protest activity near the Port of Dover has caused severe travel disruption across local routes.
The A20 eastbound carriageway is closed between M20 Junction 13 (Folkestone) and the A2 (Port of Dover). Meanwhile, the westbound carriageway remains blocked, creating heavy congestion that has spilled onto the A2 westbound.
These closures are producing long queues that directly impact cross-channel freight and ferry passengers.
Kent Police are on scene engaging with participants.
Drivers travelling toward Dover or across eastern Kent should allow extra journey time, consult ferry operators for schedule changes, or follow signed diversion routes where available.
