Officers from Kent Police’s Rural Task Force swiftly arrested a suspect following an attempted burglary at a farm building in Faversham on 26 August 2026.
After a wire fence was cut in a failed break-in, patrolling officers spotted a suspect vehicle and intercepted it on Springhead Road later that afternoon.
A search of the vehicle uncovered bolt cutters, gloves, a crowbar, and a sledgehammer.
The driver, a 29-year-old man from London, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, going equipped to steal, possessing a bladed article in a public place, and driving without a licence or insurance. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
