Police report three new arrests have been made as part of an investigation to establish how a man was seriously injured in Ashford.

On Monday 14 September 2026, two men aged 18 and 19, and a 32 year old woman, all from the local area, were arrested by detectives investigating the suspected town centre assault.

Police had been called at 5.12am on Sunday 13 September to an area of Lower High Street, close to a water fountain and the St Johns Lane alleyway where they spoke to a man in his 30s with injuries. Officers were notified later the same morning that paramedics had attended to the same person, whose condition had worsened. He was taken to a London hospital where his injuries are currently believed to be life-changing.

The three suspects, along with an 18-year-old man who was arrested on Sunday 13 September, have all been released on bail pending further enquiries.
