A drugs producer has been jailed for eight months after police uncovered a large-scale cannabis cultivation at a property in Dover.
Officers raided the address in Oswald Road on Friday 28 August 2026, following community concerns raised directly to a neighbourhood beat officer. Suspicion grew after glowing lights and large equipment were spotted from outside the building.
Upon entering, officers discovered boarded-up windows, excessive fan noise, extreme heat, and specialized growing systems spanning five rooms across three floors.
The individual present at the scene was arrested after police seized 141 illegal plants and dried cannabis bud. The perpetrator was charged the following day and pleaded guilty at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court, resulting in an immediate prison sentence. Police officials emphasized that the operation highlights the vital role of community tip-offs in dismantling local drug factories that fuel wider criminal networks.
