Detectives have launched a urgent appeal for witnesses after a motorist was left requiring hospital treatment in an alleged violent early-morning attack on the Hoo peninsular near Wainscott.
The victim was driving a black Ford Fiesta along Lower Rochester Road at around 4:10 am on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, when the driver of a white van reportedly cut in front of his vehicle near the Hasted Road junction, forcing him to swerve onto the kerb. When the driver stepped out of his car to inspect the damage, he was allegedly set upon and punched three times in the face by the van driver.
The suspect is described as a large-built white man in his 40s with curly hair, believed to have been wearing a blue top and blue shorts at the time of the assault. The victim required medical treatment at hospital for his injuries before being discharged.
