Detectives investigating a break-in at a supermarket near Tunbridge Wells have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify in connection with the incident.
Kent Police were alerted at 3:11 am on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, following reports of an active burglary at the Tesco Express branch situated near St Andrews Park Road in Southborough. It is alleged that an intruder forced entry into the store and stole a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene on foot in the direction of London Road.

An investigation remains ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the burglary and locate the offender. PC Danny Barnes said officers appreciate the suspect cannot be clearly identified from the image, but are hopeful someone may recognise him from his distinctive profile or clothing.
Anyone with information, or who recognises the man pictured, is urged to call the West Kent appeals line on 01622 604100, quoting reference 16-0094. Local residents with private CCTV systems or motorists with dashcam footage who were travelling in the area at the time are also asked to review their recordings.
