Detectives investigating a serious assault on a woman at a property in Herne Bay are appealing for the public’s help.
Shortly before 8am on Monday 5 September 2022, Kent Police was called to a report that a woman had sustained injuries at a property in Central Parade.
Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the woman was taken to hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds.
A suspect, who is known to the victim, has been arrested and charged over the incident and an investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
As part of their enquiries, officers would like to speak to anyone who was walking or driving along Central Parade, Market Street or near the Market Street Car Park between 6.50am and 7.15am on Monday 5 September, and who saw anything suspicious.
Officers would particularly like to speak to the drivers of a dark-coloured Peugeot 206, a dark-coloured Vauxhall Corsa and a dark-coloured Ford Focus, which were seen in the area at that time, as they may be potential witnesses.

Ian McQuaide has been charged with attempted murder, controlling or coercive behaviour, assault, making threats to kill and causing grievous bodily harm. The 34-year-old, of Forrester Close, Canterbury, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 7 September and was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 5 October.
