A suspect has been charged with multiple offences by officers investigating burglaries and thefts from cars in Folkestone.
An arrest was made after officers spotted a car which had been reported stolen from outside a hotel in Clifton Gardens on Thursday 20 October 2022.
16 Charges
Following further investigation, a Dover man has been charged with a total of 16 offences.
Charges
These include:
- Five counts of receiving stolen goods in relation to a motorbike, electrical equipment and bank cards stolen in Dover and Folkestone in August, September and October.
- Two counts of theft from a motor vehicle in relation to computer equipment stolen from a campervan in Meopham in August and a jacket and wallet stolen from a vehicle in Folkestone in October.
- Attempted theft from a vehicle in Hythe in August.
- Fraud in relation to various electrical items sold in Dover in September.
- Three burglary charges relating to break-ins in Folkestone in October.
- Aggravated vehicle taking, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance in relation to the incident on 20 October.
- Possessing criminal property in relation to bank cards seized as part of the investigation on 20 October.
Court appearance
The 25-year-old appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 22 October.
The case was adjourned to 21 November when it will be heard at Canterbury Crown Court.
