By Ray Duff – From Monday 15th May the lower section of Dover Road, beside the Health Centre, is to be closed for 5 to 7days whilst new drainage works are carried out.
Most traffic will be diverted around the closure via Foord Road, Pavilion Road, Blackbull Road, Canterbury Road, Creteway, Hill Road and down Dover Road from the top.
Access to the Health Centre should still be possible via New St, Clarence St and Bellevue St, though the two latter roads are narrow. Returning to the town centre should be possible via Bradstone Ave and up via Grace Hill.
Buses
102 to DOVER should not be affected as it traverses Tontine Street in both directions.
74 to East Cliff and 75 to Holywell Ave, will be diverted on their outbound journeys.
