Kent Police report that a suspected burglar who is alleged to have also breached a court order banning him from possessing a catapult has been charged and remanded in custody.

It is reported that on Thursday 2 November 2023, several pairs of jeans were stolen after a man trespassed into the warehouse of an Asda store in Swanley.

The man, from Orpington, was arrested on Monday 20 November. He was taken into custody and a catapult was also seized.

He was charged with burglary and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order which had been made at Maidstone Crown Court earlier this year.

On Wednesday 22 November, a 54-year-old man appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to a hearing at the same court on Wednesday 29 November.
