A man has been charged after a firearm was discovered following a police pursuit on the M20 near Maidstone
On Saturday 10 April 2021, a motorist was arrested during the early hours following a pursuit on the coastbound M20, which ended at Junction 5 near Aylesford.
Following a search, officers discovered and seized a live firearm, class B drugs along with two mobile phones.
A man aged 30 from Derby, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possessing a firearm when prohibited for life, disqualified driving, driving without insurance, refusing a preliminary roadside drug test and two counts of possession of class B drugs.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 12 April 2021.
