A man was detained as he tried to scale a fence, following a foot chase by officers investigating a break-in at a property in Tunbridge Wells during the early hours of Thursday 25 April 2024.
The suspected burglar was tracked down and arrested within 20 minutes of the break-in.
Police were called at 2.40am to a report of suspicious activity in Showfields Road. Attending patrols found a door to a residential address had been forced and the suspect was seen to flee. He was pursued by constables and by 3am had been arrested.
The man, aged 45 and from Tunbridge Wells, was taken into custody.
