A suspect wanted in connection with a series of targeted thefts at the same shop in Tunbridge Wells has been arrested and charged.
Officers have been investigating allegations that around £600 worth of stock, including meat, alcohol, and motor oils was stolen during repeated incidents at a BP service station in St John’s Road.
The thefts, which are reported to have been happening since Wednesday 22 May, have been under investigation by officers from the Tonbridge Victim Based Crime Team.
On Tuesday 12 June, enquiries led to the arrest of a 39-year-old, from Rusthall who has now been charged with six counts of shoplifting. The woman is currently on conditional bail and will attend Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Friday 28 June.
