Kent Police were called to a serious incident in Copenhagen Road Gillingham at 4pm on Tuesday 6 August 2024 in which a man was treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service for injuries consistent with stab wounds and later airlifted to a London hospital.
The victim has since been discharged.
On Tuesday 13 August, police arrested two suspects who were taken into custody. A 19-year-old man from Chatham, was charged by investigators on the following day with wounding with intent. He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court later the same day and a second suspect, a 20-year-old man from Teynham, remains in police custody while the investigation continues.
Police are appealing for witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact the appeal line.
