Witnesses are being sought after a man was seriously assaulted in ‘violent unprovoked incident’ in Gravesend.

The victim was in Windmill Street on Friday 23 August 2024 when at around 6pm he was approached by a woman and two men who proceeded to punch him several times.

He was knocked to the ground when the suspects then stamped on his head before they fled the area.

The suspects have been described as white. The woman had blonde hair and was wearing a blue turquoise dress. One man was described as having short dark hair and wearing dark shorts with a dark t-shirt and white trainers. He was also carrying a dark backpack.

The second man was described as having short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt which faded into light blue. He was also wearing black trousers and black and white trainers.

Investigating officer PC Vicki Hartland said:

‘This was a violent unprovoked incident which happened in a busy location. We are keen to find the offenders but also wish to talk to witnesses who assisted the victim.

‘In particular I’d like to talk to one witness who intervened and prevented any further assault. He is a black man, of slim build with short hair and he was wearing sunglasses. He was wearing an orange t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and ‘slider’ style shoes.’
