Join the vibrant celebration of women in Ashford with the ‘Reclaim These Streets’ march on Sunday, March 9th! This empowering event kicks off a fantastic two-week series dedicated to honouring women’s achievements both locally and globally.
Starting at 2 PM in Victoria Park, the march will wind through the town, culminating at the Coachworks. Here, you’ll be treated to inspiring speeches, dance, and vocal performances. Everyone who supports women’s safety and gender equality is welcome to join in!
The two-week celebration is packed with a variety of activities, including workshops, film screenings, photographic exhibitions, quizzes, wellbeing events, and performances. These events will shine a spotlight on the incredible contributions of women in fields like business, arts, and community service. Plus, they will raise vital funds for the local charity Rising Sun, which supports women and families affected by domestic violence.
