Two suspects have been charged with attempted murder following a report of a serious assault in Folkestone on Friday.

Kent Police was called to a private address in Firs Lane at 10.45am on Friday 4 April 2025 where a man in his 50s sustained serious injuries, including one consistent with a stab wound. He was taken to a London hospital where it was reported he remains in a stable condition.

Shortly afterwards, a car was stopped in the Dymchurch area, and officers arrested two men. Two further men were detained later the same day. All parties are understood to be known to each other.

On Sunday 6 April, detectives charged a 73-year-old Folkestone man and a 45-year-old man, also from Folkestone with attempted murder. Both men were remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 7 April. Two other men who had also been arrested were released without charge.
