A routine bus journey turned alarming for a mother and her child in Gravesend on Wednesday evening when their bus came under attack.
As the vehicle travelled along Ash Road at 7:26 PM on April 23, 2025, a brick, believed to have been thrown by a group of teenagers on bicycles, shattered a window. Fragments of glass rained down on the passengers.
Gravesend police have launched an investigation into the criminal damage and are appealing for the public’s help.
Chief Inspector Will Lay stated,
“We are in contact with the bus company and are committed to finding those who caused this damage. We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the teenagers involved to contact us immediately.”
Chief Inspector Lay added:
“This was not a harmless prank, the actions of these individuals could have resulted in serious injury, and we will not tolerate such dangerous behavior on our roads. We will have increased police presence in the area as we work to identify and apprehend the offenders.”
