A woman has been charged and a significant quantity of suspected Class A drugs, believed to be heroin and crack cocaine, seized following proactive police work by neighbourhood officers in Medway.
Patrols grew suspicious of behaviour observed in Longfellow Road around 4pm on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Officers subsequently detained a woman who had left the scene on foot near Chatham Hill. During the incident, officers recovered a carrier bag containing 27 rocks of suspected heroin and crack cocaine. The woman, 38, of no fixed address, was charged on Monday, July 14, with possession with intent to supply both heroin and crack cocaine. She appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court later that day and was released on bail.
She is scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, August 11.
