At 10.02am on Sunday 3 August 2025, Kent Police received a report that a collision had taken place on the coastbound carriageway of the A299 Thanet Way.
It’s reported four motorcycles were travelling in convoy when the bike at the front, a grey Yamaha MT, was involved in a collision with a red Citroen C3 car travelling in the same direction. The rider, a man in his 60s, was confirmed deceased at the scene.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who might have seen the vehicles shortly beforehand, to come forward. Anyone who was driving along the road and have dashcam footage which might assist enquiries is urged to submit it via the online portal.
