Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious single-vehicle collision near Wrotham on Monday, August 18, 2025.
At around 11:17am, a tractor traveling on the A227 Gravesend Road separated from its trailer. The tractor then fell onto the central reservation between junctions 2 and 3 of the M20 motorway. Emergency services, including Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene. A man was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. His family has been notified.
Both the M20 and the A227 are currently closed for vehicle recovery and to ensure the road is safe. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route. Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it to come forward. Police are particularly keen to hear from drivers who have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
