Spitfire over Kent – Photo: Malcolm Triggs/Battle of Britain Memorial Trust
Get ready to look to the skies this Friday! The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will perform a spectacular flypast over the National Memorial to the Few at Capel-le-Ferne near Folkestone.
Starting at 11am, the flypast will feature a powerful display of historic aircraft, honouring the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. This dramatic event was originally scheduled for Battle of Britain Day on Monday but was postponed due to high winds. The rescheduled flypast promises to be an unforgettable tribute. The formation will include two Spitfires and a Hurricane from the Memorial Flight, joined by a twin-seater Spitfire from Goodwood and a Hispano Buchon—a Spanish version of the legendary Messerschmitt Bf109.
Please be aware that all flypasts are subject to weather conditions and aircraft serviceability.
