A routine investigation into a stolen motorcycle in Tunbridge Wells led police to an unexpected discovery of a substantial amount of cocaine and cash.
During the search for the stolen property on Monday, September 15, patrols encountered a vehicle in the Showfields Road area that was not connected to the theft case. Authorities found the vehicle to be associated with suspicious activities, leading them to detain its driver.
Initial checks of the driver and vehicle resulted in the seizure of nine bags of cocaine, cannabis, and a quantity of cash. A subsequent search of a nearby property, linked to a key found on the driver, revealed an estimated £10,000 worth of cocaine and an additional £5,000 in cash. A man was arrested and later charged with two counts of drug possession with intent to supply, possession of criminal property, and driving without insurance. He was remanded in custody.
