Witnesses and information are sought by detectives investigating a rape in Tunbridge Wells. It is reported a teenager was sexually assaulted by an unknown man on Tunbridge Wells Common, close to Mount Ephraim and the junction for Molyneux Park Road.

The incident happened between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday 18 October 2025. The man approached the girl as she was walking home along Victoria Road. They walked together towards Mount Ephraim, at which point it is alleged the man took the victim into a wooded area and made threats before assaulting her.

The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 8in and in his mid-thirties. He has dark hair, worn in a bun, a short ‘goatie’ beard and a moustache. He was wearing a blue jacket with an orange drawstring bag on his back and was travelling on a bicycle with thick tyres at the time of the incident.


Officers are continuing to pursue several enquiries to establish the full circumstances, including forensic analysis at the scene, checks for CCTV opportunities and extensive house-to-house enquiries. Police remain in the area while investigations are underway.
