Four individuals who chased and repeatedly stabbed a 16-year-old boy in December 2024 were sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, October 17, 2025.
The victim was leaving his home on John Street to collect a takeaway on December 10 when he was ambushed by the group, who had attempted to climb his garden fence. He was stabbed multiple times before managing to escape to a nearby shop, from where emergency services were called. He was discharged from a London hospital three days later. Police used CCTV and seized clothing to identify the attackers. Arrests followed, with a knife later recovered from one suspect’s home address containing the victim’s blood.
The sentences are as follows:
- Raheem Ruhambira, 19, was jailed for five years with a three-year extended licence period for wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon.
- Orion Parks, 20, was jailed for two years and three months in a Young Offenders’ Institute for wounding without intent.
- Abdul Kieta, 18, received an 18-month rehabilitation order for wounding without intent and possessing an offensive weapon.
- A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, was given an 18-month youth rehabilitation order for wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Kati Goldsmith said:
‘This was a shocking and deliberate attack on a young boy who was simply trying to leave his home. Violent behaviour like this has no place in our communities, and we remain committed to protecting the public and holding offenders to account.’
