Folkestone Town Mayor, Cllr Lucy McGirr, hosted her annual Christmas Carol Concert at St Mary & St Eanswythe Church, welcoming nearly 300 Year 6 students from nine local primary schools.
Led by Father Christopher Johnson, the service saw children enthusiastically singing and signing traditional carols. Students from St Eanswythe Primary read prayers, while those from Morehall Primary presented self-written Christmas poems.
Mayor McGirr thanked all participants—teachers, the Reverend, the organist, and Town Council staff—for the “truly special event.” She wished the children a Merry Christmas and good luck with their upcoming move to secondary school, adding that the festive spirit was strong.
