A swift response by Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) was mounted this morning following reports of a significant house fire on Christchurch Way in Dover. The incident, which began shortly after 9:30 AM, saw three fire engines deployed to tackle the blaze.

KFRS crews were called to the scene at 9:27 AM on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus (BA) for protection against smoke and heat, immediately went to work. They utilized both high-pressure hose reel jets and a main jet (hose) to bring the flames under control.

The operation concluded an hour and twenty minutes later. While the extent of the damage to the property is not yet confirmed, a critical detail of the incident is the medical attention required for an occupant. A spokesperson for KFRS confirmed that “One person was passed into the care of SECAmb,” the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The casualty’s condition and the nature of any injuries sustained are currently unknown. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
