Residents throughout the Ashford area are urged to exercise heightened vigilance after a recent series of residential break-ins. Kent Police are currently investigating multiple burglaries reported in the Kingsnorth, Willesborough, and Park Farm neighbourhoods, which are believed to have occurred between Sunday 18 January and Tuesday 20 January 2026.

High-value items, including irreplaceable family jewellery and various personal possessions, have been reported stolen during these incidents. In response, authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation involving the review of CCTV footage, the collection of forensic evidence, and the interviewing of potential witnesses.

To ensure public safety and deter further criminal activity, the community will notice an increased presence of additional police patrols in the affected areas. Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or possesses relevant doorbell or dashcam footage to contact Kent Police at 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/10769/26.

Detective Inspector Simon Johnson said:

“While these reports are being fully investigated, I would like to remind residents of steps that can be taken to safeguard against becoming a victim of crime. Make sure windows, side gates and garages are securely locked, and burglar alarms are activated. Consider marking valuables to assist with their identification.

“Make your home look as if it is occupied, especially during the winter months when daylight hours are shorter. Using timer switches on lights and radios can be an effective way to achieve this. Remove keys, cash and other valuable items from view. Keep receipts and make a note of serial numbers for expensive items. Ensure UPVC doors are locked with a key as well as lifting the handle, and lock away tools and garden items that could be stolen or used to break into your home.

“Report all suspicious activity, by calling 101 or use the live chat function on the Kent Police website. Always call 999 if a crime is in progress.”
