Kent Police have launched an investigation following a report that a teenage girl was inappropriately approached in Sittingbourne yesterday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:30 pm on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, in Albany Park, where a teenage boy allegedly targeted the girl and made several offensive comments.
Officers have already conducted an initial interview with the victim as enquiries into the matter continue. The suspect, who was not known to the girl, is described as being approximately 5ft 5in tall with light brown curly hair. At the time of the encounter, he was seen wearing a red hooded top.
Investigators are now urging any witnesses or individuals with information that could assist the case to come forward. Local residents with private CCTV and motorists who were in the area with active dashcams are specifically asked to review their footage for any signs of the suspect.
