Police have launched an urgent witness appeal after a stranger approached a father in Dover, made a disturbing remark, and attempted to pull a child’s pushchair away.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 pm on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, on Pencester Road when the victim was walking with his child and an unknown man approached the buggy, uttered an inappropriate comment, and physically tugged the pushchair towards himself. The suspect fled the scene immediately after being confronted by the father.
Officers have reviewed local CCTV footage and are now searching for a man described as white, around 40 years old, 5ft 7in tall, with medium-length brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey long-sleeved jacket over a dark top and trousers.
