Witnesses to a reported serious assault in Dover are being urged by police to come forward.

Kent Police was contacted at 8.50pm on Wednesday 27 April 2022 after a man was found with a serious head injury in a car park near Ladywell. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Subsequent investigation suggests the man had been walking between the High Street and the Ladywell car park between 8.40pm and 8.50pm that evening, when he was assaulted by a group of people.

Appeal for help

An investigation into the incident is ongoing and officers urge anyone who witnessed the assault, or has dashcam or CCTV which may assist enquiries, to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/79602/22.

The victim has since been discharged from hospital.
