The FIFA Women’s World Cup final is a historic moment for the Lionesses, who have reached the final for the first time ever.

In a statement Medway City Council has agreed to allow pubs to open early for the Women’s World Cup final.

“We know that many Medway residents will want to cheer them on with their loved ones at home or at their favourite pub or bar.

“That’s why we have decided to allow Medway’s licensed premises to serve alcohol between 10am and 2pm on Sunday, 20 August, if they are showing the match live.

“We hope you have a great time supporting the Lionesses and we wish them all the best!”

Please remember to drink responsibly if you are consuming alcohol.
