The landscaping which was funded by Hawkinge Parish Council
and the Hawkinge Partnership with support from Kent County Council, was
designed by Sue Humphries and created by Harmer Landscapes.

Completed in May 2007, it delighted many local residents and shop
owners, who felt the new raised beds looked wonderful and brightened up
Canterbury Road.

To celebrate the work of everyone involved in the project, the local art
group have painted pictures of the plants and flowers in the each bed.
These have been transformed into an interpretation board which has been
erected in one of the beds.

And on Monday 23rd February at 10.00am, an event to celebrate the
completion of the project will be held.

A member of the Parish Council, the Hawkinge Partnership Board and some
local artists who contributed to the design, will be there to mark the
installation of the interpretation board.
