Deal man appears before magistrates at Folkestone on attempted murder charge

A 36-year-old man from Deal has appeared before magistrates in Folkestone charged with the attempted murder of Graeme Beechey (35) on Boxing Day.


James Larkin was remanded in custody following the court appearance on Wednesday (28 December).

Mr Beechey is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed during an incident in Western Avenue in Deal.

 

Police were called at 10.30pm.


A 47-year-old Deal woman, who was arrested on suspicion of assault has been released on bail until 26 January 2012 pending further police investigation.
