Affinity Water is replacing 10 km of water mains to ensure a reliable supply of water to customers in Folkestone and Dover.

This work represents an investment of £1.6m.

60 years old
Some of the existing water mains were laid more than 60 years ago and have given many years of good service. However, they are now reaching the end of their useful lives.
By replacing targeted sections of the water mains network, Affinity Water say it will be able to continue to provide a reliable water supply and reduce disruption to the local community for many years to come.

The work will start on 13 February and is being carried out by  Morrison Utility Services. This work is due for completion by 31 July 2017.

Customers affected by this work will be sent a letter prior to the work commencing in their street.

During these works, it will be necessary to have road and lane closures put in place.
