Teenager charged following theft of charity cash from Canterbury fast food restaurant

A man from Canterbury has been charged with theft and common assault after it was reported charity money had been stolen from a restaurant.


Kent Police officers were called to McDonald's in Sturry Road at approximately 2.00am on Tuesday 28 February after it was reported that a charity box had been stolen and a member of staff assaulted.

A 19-year-old from Canterbury has been charged following the incident.


He has been bailed until Thursday 6 April 2017 when he will appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court.
