Pedestrian seriously hurt after she was hit by a car near Ashford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in Charing, near Ashford.

 

 

 

Kent Police was called at 5.30pm on Friday 3 February 2017 to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a blue Vauxhall Astra on the A20 in Charing, Ashford. The car was travelling in the direction of Maidstone at the time of the collision.

A local woman aged in her 60s was rushed to a London hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.

The road was closed until shortly before 10pm to allow for investigation, and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or either the vehicle or the pedestrian in the lead up to the collision to make contact.
